Achievements

Our students Aravindan .S, Harish, Rohit & Krishnakumar of grade XII developed a model with the aim of sustaining the life and vital signs of a child accidently trapped in a borewell – using a high tensile inflatable balloon capsule with state of the art communication and monitoring equipments.

This project was selected at the state level competition and then sent to the national level science expo help at Pragathi Maiden, Delhi.  Aravindhan represented his team for this even.  They received a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- and this project is waiting for patency.  We are proud of our dear students!

Another team of grade XII students Mohd Tauqueer, Rohit, Renu Prasad, Mohd. Fahad and Akil took nearly 6 months and camp up with an excellent project – Acetylene fuel bike – wherein acetylene was used as a main fuel in Internal combustion to avoid pollution.

This project earned them several awards.

They got 2nd place at the district level competition organized by Rotary Club, Gudiyatham and also by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.

They bagged the first place in the event organized by Agni College of Technology, Chennai.

They were invited to present the model before a panel of judges and were appreciated.

LGS bags the rolling trophy in the inter-school cultural competitions organized every year by the Round Table club.

Quiz competitions are organized by various school throughout the year finds LGS bagging a place within the first three positions.

Cambridge English Language Assessment and Australian Trade Commission – Video Competition

Cambridge English Language Assessment and Australian Trade Commission joined hands to host a video competition for all students across the Indian Subcontinent. The winning team gets a chance to visit Australia .The
students of Lakshmi Garden Matric.Hr.Sec.School made best use of this opportunity to create a 3 minute video on Social Entrepreneurship. It was an enlightening experience that helped the children hone their creative skills and venture into a new arena of photography and film shooting.
